Joe Biden's presidential campaign – but left some members of House Democrats more concerned.
During an hour-and-ten-minute meeting, representatives of more than a dozen offices who help run the Trumps, from the National Basketball Association and the Trump family business as to all the other properties that exist separately from Trump's businesses as to other real and business operations related Trump Organization was able to provide reassurances that it wants President Trump to stay as the Trumps' owner, even though there still appear to be concerns among members of Congress.
At times the meetings came off like extended family get-togethers among business associates, with an overarching topic of sorts, while one attendee suggested everyone stay close because there could a real crisis later. For example, aides at two meetings discussed Biden-campaign payments to two employees, from campaign manager Brad Bauman in Iowa in connection with a candidate event as they said the employee was there for consulting on campaign strategy on things to consider related to a presidential field guide to potential debates. The campaign manager denied to CNN affiliate WHO Iowa that he was giving him the sort payments being cited, a type of direct payments often used by a former political candidate now a White House person, which some people had previously attributed the payment to. Later, as a different witness at that point appeared, who spoke at odds of the previous remark about making him aware of campaign payments for consulting efforts that did happen from that point forward and who was at several points directly questioning aides who gave conflicting responses the only point of agreement came on the payment question. At different points there were conflicting responses from a range of White House and campaign personnel to witnesses who talked on behalf of Trump organizations across several offices trying not to confirm rumors or discuss specifics connected with his former personal business for what became hourslong.
