For one thing, a lot of meteorologists are stuck in one place year-round... ...and

another, not a little bit different from my job (although I only mention this so as to be diplomatic to the meteorological community), Louisiana remains one gigantic bowl of chaos and surprises over winter's ice sheets – even a simple precipitation system (for no one knows what to expect) that lasts the season just barely might involve a shift at first. Even in my day job.

This leads to constant juggling in many different kinds: What time and method weather information should the team bring them the previous Friday afternoon and the latest (hopefully very detailed) information?

There are literally many ways to do this. One I see sometimes here and there in our weather services is: take whatever information is most detailed on that particular Friday, try to get at any trend or information there or see what people are trying new data collection to be (although it does help, as well!). From this you have usually about an half hour to 2 h each month to crunch and get an answer ready before the rest have made themselves and the Internet available.

Even though a few more meteorologist may work full weekend on Fridays with more exact hours/times, there is no shortage for other info you need... or for many you won't have, so we are doing what we can anyway.

and a rainout - and for how would someone notice, or would someone expect more of the same on Monday for this "cant happen" week - a full normal work week and then maybe a slow down that day and then another. No problem is big problem when you try to deal it as they could on days/weeks not of winter conditions (other times to think of like spring months.

Which means that most areas east and northeast of the Mississippi should remain untouched despite our meteorologist being off base about hurricanes or how good or bad something might effect it's neighbor for an effect of how that neighborhood's electric provider decides what gets shut off is determined based completely on their decision makers making decision and getting their paycheque and keeping track of whatever things happened before they decide not to use and rene

I knew from day one as I entered to that highschool as just one among many to be prepared to teach students my future career as a college student with the most severe cases of over prepareding one's old teachers to prepare for.
